Go play with your balls!

When: Saturday, August 19, 2006
Time: 10 am to noon -- Registration begins at 9:30
Location: Mission Bay Park Playground

Testicular cancer is the most common form of cancer in young men between the ages 15 to 35, but it can affect any male at any time. In fact, one of our very own Weekend Warriors is battling this disease. He is fortunate to have very good medical coverage, but through his personal research, he has discovered that most aren't as fortunate. Because many men afflicted with testicular cancer are young and just starting out, many of them have inadequate medical insurance or none at all. Having the cancerous testicle removed costs thousands of dollars and the follow up treatment costs add up to even more. An example of the typical cost of cancer treatment can be found here: Testicular Cancer Costs

For patients without medical insurance these costs can be insurmountable. In order to save their life, they are forced into bankruptcy. Our goal is to raise money to help these men.
